In the north-eastern part of Slovenia lies the region, which got its name from the Mura river, as it stretches along its left and right banks. Formerly the Pannonian Sea, today the Pannonian plain, which rises into a hilly area in the north.
An endless plain with grain fields, the Mura river, wine-growing slopes, lakes, springs of mineral water, volcanic rocks and forests on the hilly part. Nature really did its best in Pomurje!
